JEWS IN THE NETHERLANDS 1600-1900
Exhibition design for permanent presentation.

The permanent presentation tells the story of the Jewish migrants settling in the Netherlands between 1600 and 1900, how they become members of religious communities, and become Dutch citizens after 1796. Light and transparency are the core concepts of the exhibition design. The great story, which is narrated using objects, texts and projections, is displayed on translucent walls, through which the synagogue's architecture is visible.

Project in cooperation with OTW. Graphic design: Bloemendaal and Dekkers.
